Select two primary teaching specializations from our broad offerings, which span Music, Ancient and Modern History, Business Studies, Drama, Economics, English, Geography, Legal Studies, and various Language options including Chinese, Classical Languages (Latin/Greek), French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish. Additionally, you may opt for a supplementary teaching focus from subjects like Mathematics, Information Technology, Society and Culture, Religious Studies, EALD instruction, and additional Language choices. Qualification Requirements
Entry is based on Australian Year 12 equivalence. A Personal Statement is required, and English language requirements must also be met.
You will need to meet both the Academic and English Language Requirements to gain admission into this course. Meeting academic requirements means we review what you have already studied to see if you have the results needed for admission to your preferred course.
To meet the entry requirements for this course you must have completed, at minimum, an Australian Year 12 qualification or overseas equivalent.
You must also satisfy the School of Education of your suitability for teaching by completing a Personal Statement.
If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under standard entry.

Successful completion of an Australian Year 12 award with an ATAR acceptable to UNE in the year of admission (minimum scores for entry into each UNE course are available directly from UNE International), or
Successful completion of a recognised Foundation Studies program conducted by an Australian University or affiliate with a minimum score of 60% in all units including English.
An IELTS (Academic) overall score of at least 7.5 including a minimum result of 8.0 in both the speaking and listening modules and 7.0 in reading and writing, or
An International Second Language Proficiency Rating (ISLPR) score of at least 4+ in each of the four areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
