The field of clinical exercise physiology employs tailored exercise programs to enhance health, wellness, and clinical outcomes for individuals with or predisposed to medical issues, injuries, or disabilities. There's growing need for university-trained exercise physiologists capable of implementing exercise and activity principles across disease prevention, health promotion, rehabilitation, and athletic performance. UNE's Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology prepares graduates as Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs), ready to support individuals with acute, sub-acute, or chronic health challenges through customized exercise, lifestyle, and behavioral adjustments. This positions you for success in this rapidly expanding field.
This comprehensive program deepens your understanding of sport and exercise science and its impact on both healthy populations and those with complex health conditions. You'll refine your expertise in clinically applying exercise for disease prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement.
Upon completion, you'll qualify as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP). AEP services address cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, oncological, renal, respiratory, mental health conditions, and any other evidence-based applications where exercise can improve patient outcomes.
