UNE's Bachelor of Agriculture provides hands-on, production-focused training to develop specialized expertise. You'll acquire field-ready abilities to tackle challenges and adapt as an agricultural professional. Select from three production majors – animal, plant, or mixed farming – to specialize and enter the industry with technical mastery in managing productive agricultural systems. Graduates emerge prepared for diverse agricultural careers with future-ready competencies.

This three-year degree delivers the in-demand knowledge and practical capabilities modern agriculture requires. You'll build a strong foundation in scientific agricultural systems and essential farm management skills for industry success.

Top-performing students can pursue an additional Honours research year in Animal Science or Agronomy through the Bachelor of Science program. Honours involves completing a research project and thesis, with pathways to postgraduate research degrees. UNE's agriculture program offers:
• Practical work placements to apply classroom learning and boost graduate employability
• Cutting-edge training at our SMART Farms – eight properties spanning 3,655 hectares featuring commercial-scale operations and cutting-edge technology across livestock, cropping, and precision agriculture
• Industry exposure through commercial partner field trips
