The Master of Development Studies provides specialized education in key areas including development and environment, gender studies, urban development, and health policy. Throughout the program, you'll address pressing contemporary challenges in development such as poverty reduction, microfinance systems, cultural rights, migration patterns, food security, NGO operations, and gender dynamics. To be considered for entry into this course, you must have completed one of:
An honours degree (or equivalent) in a directly related discipline with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 70% (or equivalent), OR
An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a directly related discipline with a WAM of at least 70% (or equivalent) AND at least two years of documented relevant work and/or professional experience.
