If they suggested that data science careers are growing exponentially, that professionals can work across industries like healthcare, commerce, or environmental science, and that these roles offer competitive compensation, they were absolutely correct.
Considering we generate over 2.5 exabytes of daily data, skilled analysts are essential to interpret this information.
The Master of Data Science program welcomes students with foundations in either computer science or statistics (or both), customizing coursework to strengthen complementary skills. Foundational courses provide comprehensive data science training, equipping you with the technical and analytical expertise needed to handle complex datasets.
In addition to core requirements, specialized electives allow you to focus on specific data science domains.
Graduates complete the program with an impressive capstone project for their professional portfolio. This culminating experience lets you solve real-world problems using data science methodologies, either independently or collaboratively.
We recognize that technical skills alone aren't enough for career success. Complementary professional development courses, including scientific communication training, prepare you to launch your data science journey with assurance.
For those seeking practical experience, an optional internship in STEM fields can be completed for academic credit.
