The Master of Contemporary Art program connects undergraduate education with independent artistic work. This course has two main objectives: cultivating a personal, professional art practice and exploring how it relates to contemporary art. The initial year prioritizes experimentation, creative exploration, and active discussions with faculty and peers in on-campus studio environments. During the second year, students select an independent research focus to explore through a year-long studio project, concluding with an evaluation and public showcase in the annual Masters exhibition. Instruction occurs through seminars and one-on-one sessions, complemented by guidance from an Academic Advisor. Students can access various professional development opportunities during the program, including intensive workshops, exhibitions (both group and solo), and domestic or international travel experiences.
