The Master of Actuarial Science (Enhanced) at Melbourne Business School offers a postgraduate route to equip students for careers in actuarial science. This program develops graduates who can analytically apply actuarial principles, methodologies, and data analysis. Students will emerge as skilled problem-solvers who can interpret, implement, and assess actuarial models, especially in insurance and retirement planning contexts. The curriculum is structured to qualify students for Part I (Foundation) and partial Part II (Associateship) exam exemptions from the Actuaries Institute. This two-year enhanced master's program serves as an introductory actuarial education for students without prior actuarial backgrounds, particularly those with quantitative degrees in fields like mathematics, physics, or engineering.
Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree with a major in mathematically based subjects, such as studies in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering (or equivalent)
