The Melbourne Business School offers a one-year Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science designed to launch your career in the actuarial field. Students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma program have the option to transition into the Master of Actuarial Science program to access the extended advantages of the two-year degree. This course is ideal for individuals holding an undergraduate degree with substantial mathematical content, as well as those who've passed certain Part I professional examinations.
To be considered for entry into this course, you must: Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree with a major in mathematically-based subjects, such as studies in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, (or equivalent), AND Have completed the subjects MAST20004 Probability and MAST20005 Statistics or subjects in probability and statistics at an equivalent level
English language requirements:
IELTS (academic English Only): 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL Internet-based test: 79 + ; Writing 21; Speaking 18; Reading 13; Listening 13;
Pearson Test of English Academic: 58 + no communicative skill below 50
Cambridge English: Advanced/ Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 176 + no skill below 169.
