Exceptional design possesses the transformative ability to deliver enduring solutions that enhance our daily experiences. Creative professionals employ innovative and flexible methodologies to identify and address challenges, resulting in superior decision-making. This approach helps organizations break free from conventional or obsolete practices. Design plays a vital role in shaping and refining urban spaces, architectural structures, transportation systems, furnishings, digital platforms, operational procedures, infrastructure projects, outdoor areas, and ecological systems. Design professionals serve as catalysts for progress, elevating how we exist and engage with our surroundings. The Design Bachelor's program offers the opportunity to integrate humanities, sciences, and visual/performing arts into a unified curriculum. Students can customize their expertise through elective studies and advanced design concentrations, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), to complement their primary coursework. Options include specializing in one or two majors, or pursuing a major-minor combination.
The Computing specialization caters to technically oriented learners seeking to build robust professional competencies in programming and digital creation. Participants will acquire advanced technical proficiency in media computation, data processing and representation, interface design, and user experience principles. This specialization naturally progresses to graduate programs such as the Master of Science (Computer Science), Master of Information Technology, and a 300-point Master of Engineering (Software) with potential credit transfers.
