The Bachelor of Arts (Honours Degree) represents an intensive year of specialized study designed for outstanding undergraduate students. This honors program allows you to deepen your expertise in your chosen field. More demanding than a standard degree, the Bachelor of Arts (Honours Degree) provides diverse programs across humanities, social sciences, and languages while strengthening students' research capabilities and critical thinking. It fosters creative problem-solving skills for complex challenges. Students can focus on either a single discipline (pure honors) or combine two areas of study (combined honors), depending on their academic interests.
The French Studies honors track includes advanced French-language courses covering literature, culture, and film, along with a research thesis to expand linguistic and cultural proficiency. Upon completion, graduates develop valuable competencies including research methodology, professional writing, public speaking, multilingual abilities, and cross-cultural understanding.

In order to be considered for entry, applicants must have completed:
within the last 5 years a Bachelor of Arts with a weighted average mark of at least H2B (70%), or equivalent, with a major relevant to the discipline stream within the Bachelor of Arts (Degree with Honours) that they seek to enter
Applicants are also required to meet any specific subject prerequisites and prior academic performance requirements associated with the discipline stream that they seek to enter (please see individual specialisations for details; most discipline streams require completion of a major in that discipline with an average of at least H2A (75%) in second and third-year subjects within the major, or equivalent)
IELTS - total score of at least 6.5 in the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no bands less than 6.0.
TOEFL (internet-based) - total score at of least 79 and scores of 21 for writing, 18 for speaking, 13 for reading and 13 for listening.
TOEFL (paper-based) - total score of at least 577 with a score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English.
