The Bachelor of Arts (Honours Degree) provides an intensive year of specialized study for outstanding undergraduate students. This program allows you to deepen your expertise in your chosen field. As an advanced academic pursuit, the Bachelor of Arts (Honours Degree) demands higher academic performance than a standard bachelor's degree. It encompasses diverse Arts disciplines across humanities, social sciences, and languages while strengthening students' capacity for sophisticated research, critical analysis, and creative thinking. The program fosters innovative approaches to complex challenges. Students can focus on either a single discipline (pure honours) or combine two areas of study (combined honours).
The Faculty of Arts restricts honours admission to students who haven't previously earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree (whether honours or standard). Eligibility requires completion of a Bachelor of Arts or equivalent qualification. The honours year constitutes a specialized fourth year in economics, featuring small class sizes, research-focused learning, and concentrated study in specific subject areas.
