This four-year undergraduate program prepares you to teach primary school with a creative arts specialization. Alongside hands-on experience with modern educational approaches, you'll master core literacy and numeracy standards for K-6 students while concentrating on artistic disciplines like visual arts, theater, music, and movement.
In years two through four, you'll complete Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) courses delivered directly in elementary schools. These immersive experiences let you engage with students across all grade levels in subjects ranging from English and STEM to health education, social studies, and technology - plus a dedicated arts teaching practicum. Upon graduation, you'll be equipped to motivate 5-12 year olds through creative expression and innovative teaching methods.
