The Master of Research forms part of an integrated program structure that provides undergraduate students with a transition into advanced research studies.
This program enables participants to conduct supervised research within their chosen field, culminating in a substantial 20,000-word thesis submission.
Participants cultivate diverse competencies including autonomous problem-solving, research coordination, analytical evaluation, critical analysis, and enhanced presentation abilities.
Designed to nurture independent research capabilities, this program serves as excellent preparation for individuals aiming to progress to PhD studies or establish careers in academic or professional research fields.
To be eligible for admission into the Master of Research (MR-INTDES) course, an applicant must have successfully completed the Bachelor of Research (Honours) (BH-INTDES) at Swinburne with a credit average.
Students applying to the Master of Research (MR-INTDES) will automatically be considered for a place in the Bachelor of Research (Honours) (BH-INTDES) and do not need to apply separately for the Bachelor of Research (Honours) program.
