The Bachelor of Computing in Industry (Honours) program is structured to fulfill the accreditation standards set by the Australian Computer Society for IT Professional recognition (accreditation pending). The initial full-time year, available both on-campus and online, establishes your foundational knowledge through core units and professional skill development. You'll then select a specialization in either 'software development' or 'digital interactivity and user experience' before being competitively placed with an industry partner. Over the following three years, you'll split your time between working with your industry partner and completing remaining core and specialization units. During your final year, you'll continue your internship while concentrating on research methodologies and undertaking an industry-based research project aligned with your partner's needs. Upon completion, you'll earn an Honours degree alongside three years of paid industry experience and research exposure - valuable assets whether pursuing a research-based Masters, PhD, or professional career.
