This program combines a research initiative with five specialized courses focused on health physics, radiation safety, and medical physics. These cross-disciplinary studies cover: radiation therapy, diagnostic imaging techniques like nuclear medicine, CT scans and MRI, radiation shielding, as well as human anatomy and physiology.
Recognized by the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM), this postgraduate program fulfills essential requirements for medical physicist certification. The research component allows exploration of modern medical or health physics topics tailored to individual interests, conducted in collaboration with our extensive network of partner institutions. Assessment occurs through a thesis, potentially incorporating published works.
Earning a master's degree establishes a pathway toward doctoral studies and opens doors to advanced research, leadership, and management roles across government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations.
