The Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Honours) offers hands-on, industry-integrated education. Students progressing to honours from RMIT's Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences begin selecting placements during their third year. Those transferring from equivalent programs at other institutions will work with the program coordinator to arrange placement interviews and preferences after applying and enrolling. The program includes roughly 40 weeks of supervised training with an industry partner, combining professional experience with advanced research skill development.
The honours program blends academic knowledge with workplace application, enhancing critical thinking, analytical abilities, and information synthesis. Students learn by actively contributing to real industry projects while attending professional development sessions and maintaining regular contact with RMIT during their placement period.
