RMIT's double degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Advanced Manufacturing and Mechatronics) and Bachelor of Business integrates cutting-edge mechatronics, systems engineering, and additive manufacturing with the opportunity to develop expertise in a complementary business field like international business, economics, or management. You will acquire the skills to design, construct, and manage intelligent systems for sectors such as aerospace, automotive, food processing, and electronics, and supervise the establishment of large-scale, international manufacturing operations. Equipped with a blend of engineering and business knowledge, you'll be well-prepared to thrive in the global engineering market. Upon graduation, you'll showcase proficiency in engineering, mechatronics, design, finance, and international business, capable of articulating innovative concepts and pursuing continuous professional development. Your coursework will cover electronic system design, machine intelligence, and robotics, paired with studies in the global economy, business analytics, or logistics and supply chain, depending on your interests. This enables a comprehensive perspective on engineering systems, leveraging your understanding of markets and management. You'll have chances to apply theory in real-world settings via capstone projects, industry internships, and involvement in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge—a humanitarian-focused component included in all RMIT engineering programs. The School of Engineering and the College of Business and Law maintain strong industry connections through their Industry Advisory Committees, which include members from external companies and professional organizations. These committees offer input on the curriculum to keep the degree aligned with graduate and employer expectations. Before completing your studies, it is highly recommended that you undertake at least 10 weeks of engineering industry experience, providing hands-on exposure in a professional setting under the guidance of an experienced engineer. This experience can vary in type and timing to suit different needs.
