The Master of Nursing – Entry to Practice program offers a route into nursing for individuals holding an undergraduate degree in any non-nursing field. Participants receive one year of advanced standing credit, enabling them to finish the program in two years rather than three. This master's degree prepares graduates for leadership roles in healthcare, providing the skills to address complex medical challenges while developing clinical competencies, research abilities, and service leadership qualities. The curriculum incorporates current healthcare developments and nursing methodologies identified through collaboration with industry professionals, academic specialists, and research findings.
The program includes a foundational bioscience component in the initial semester, establishing crucial knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. This eliminates the need for prior bioscience prerequisites while ensuring a solid academic foundation for nursing practice. Further coursework expands understanding of pathophysiology while introducing professional nursing standards and modern healthcare delivery systems.
Students will gain pharmacological knowledge with a focus on proper medication usage. Classroom learning is enhanced through practical application in our simulated hospital environment and off-site clinical placements.
