In the Master of Cyber Security program, you'll participate in diverse real-world learning experiences throughout your studies, including a major industry project or research placement. This enables you to implement your expertise to safeguard information assets through context-appropriate security solutions. Your academic journey begins with foundational digital systems concepts, starting with programming basics - acquiring core coding competencies - before progressing to accelerated web development incorporating databases. You'll develop skills to detect weaknesses in critical computing infrastructure and devise innovative solutions through system design to mitigate risks to information assets. When advancing to higher-level units, you'll investigate areas like cyber security governance, learning organizational frameworks for information security management. You'll gain proficiency in the software development process and adopt human-focused IT system design approaches to build secure, intuitive technologies.
