Acquire the advanced qualifications necessary to pursue registration as a psychologist in Australia through this innovative training program. Designed for those who have completed their fourth year of psychology studies and are progressing along the 5+1 registration pathway, this course combines academic coursework, practical placements, and research components. You'll develop professional competencies in psychological assessments (including Mental State Examinations and WAIS) and therapeutic interventions (such as CBT and family-based approaches), all grounded in contemporary psychological research and methodologies within an encouraging academic setting. Enhance your practical expertise through two supervised placements, featuring both simulated clinical scenarios and real-world internships.

Exceptional performance in this program may lead to progression into the Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical Psychology), subject to availability. The course offers specialized placement opportunities in sectors like education and disability services for hands-on industry experience. Admission is highly competitive, requiring an accredited undergraduate psychology degree plus either Psychology Honours (minimum 2A), a Graduate Diploma in Psychology (with distinction average), or a 4-year Psychology Bachelor's degree with demonstrated field experience.
