This in-depth postgraduate program offers specialized veterinary science training through a unique blend of coursework and research, exclusively available in Western Australia. Students benefit from our state-of-the-art on-campus veterinary facilities, which support training across diverse fields such as epidemiology, public health, parasitology, and clinical specialties. When needed, the program also utilizes Whitby Falls Farm - our 203-hectare heritage-listed research facility located 46 km south of Perth - for hands-on livestock research experience. Participants develop sophisticated research capabilities through rigorous academic training, with the curriculum emphasizing analytical and investigative skills applicable to both clinical and non-clinical veterinary disciplines. The DVetMedSc degree concludes with students completing an original research thesis.
To be eligible for admission as a candidate for a Doctor of Veterinary Medical Science, an applicant must have: *Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Science with at least a 2A Honours normally in the same discipline (AQF level 8); ora Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Science (AQF level 7) and satisfy the Dean of Graduate Research with evidence of substantive and significant scholarly or professional attainments including satisfactory research preparation the equivalent of AQF level 8 or 9.
IELTS overall 6.5 with no band below 6.0; TOEFL IBT Ð 90 with no band less than 20
