Move beyond TV dramas and experience authentic forensic science. Discover how to identify various sharp force injuries and determine time of death in this rare Western Australian program. Channel your inquisitive nature as you examine crime through a scientific lens. Our WA-exclusive program emphasizes biological sciences, featuring specialized forensic disciplines like DNA analysis and toxicology. You'll master professional terminology including forensic palynology (linking suspects via pollen evidence), forensic anthropology (analyzing skeletal remains), and forensic entomology (studying decomposition insects). Gain practical skills in bloodstain pattern interpretation and test your understanding through lab exercises examining fingerprint characteristics. The curriculum also covers wildlife forensics, applying DNA techniques used in ivory and rhino horn identification.

With advanced analytical equipment, you'll detect toxins in biological samples and tainted products to reconstruct criminal scenarios. Beyond technical training, you'll gain practical experience with DNA profiling and evaluating human genetic markers in simulated case investigations.
