This specialization equips you to educate children aged 5–12 in primary schools from Foundation through Year 6.
You'll explore modern educational theories and teaching methods, cultivating inclusive approaches to address diverse learning needs while acquiring a toolkit of classroom management techniques.
The program covers all essential primary subjects: English and literacy, mathematics, arts, humanities, digital technologies, science, and health/physical education. You'll deepen your knowledge in either English literacy or mathematics by pursuing advanced studies in one of these core areas. Furthermore, you'll master assessment techniques for tracking student development and learn to create engaging learning experiences that foster continuous academic growth.

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with at least a credit (60%) average. Admission into the course is competitive and may require a higher overall average than the minimum requirement.
Students applying for the dual-sector Early Childhood and Primary Education specialisation must have at least one year of full-time equivalent study relevant to one or more learning areas of the primary school curriculum.
