This specialization equips you to educate students aged 5–18 in primary and secondary schools, covering Foundation through Year 12. You'll gain insights into learning as a developmental process and acquire diverse teaching methods to address varying student needs across the educational spectrum.
Through engagement with modern educational theories and practices, you'll cultivate inclusive approaches that accommodate different cognitive, social, and emotional requirements, while developing techniques to effectively guide student learning in classroom environments. The program encompasses all essential primary curriculum components such as English and literacy, mathematics, arts, humanities, digital technologies, science, and health/physical education. By pursuing advanced studies in either English literacy or mathematics numeracy, you'll further strengthen your expertise in these fundamental primary curriculum areas.

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with at least a credit (60%) average. Admission into the course is competitive and may require a higher overall average than the minimum requirement.
Students applying for the dual-sector Early Childhood and Primary Education specialisation must have at least one year of full-time equivalent study relevant to one or more learning areas of the primary school curriculum.
