Renowned across both professional and academic circles, this program cultivates outstanding graduates prepared to tackle pressing public health issues now and in the years ahead. Instruction comes from Victoria's foremost public health practitioners, hospital specialists, and international health authorities. Leveraging strong ties with The Alfred Hospital, some coursework occurs at the Alfred Research Alliance facility in central Melbourne. Combining online and intensive face-to-face learning, the Master of Public Health delivers the prestige of a Monash qualification while accommodating working professionals' schedules and offering exceptional networking prospects. The curriculum features six specialization tracks, enabling students to customize their education to match personal interests and professional aspirations. Each concentration includes diverse elective options to broaden expertise: Epidemiology, Global and planetary health, Health economics, Health policy, Health promotion, and Public health. The program also incorporates hands-on learning through either a Professional Development Practicum or research project/case study, building career-ready competencies and research capabilities. Regardless of specialization, students acquire fundamental public health expertise to advance their professional trajectories. Participants will undertake practical case studies or research initiatives mentored by faculty experts, honing research techniques while applying knowledge to enhance healthcare practices and results.
