The Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) is a multidisciplinary research institution and a global leader in injury prevention studies. Located at Monash University's Clayton Campus, MUARC maintains strong collaborations with numerous faculties across the university. A distinctive characteristic of MUARC's research approach is its ability to transcend conventional academic boundaries. The doctoral program at MUARC follows the Monash Doctoral Program framework - a contemporary PhD model designed for modern researchers. Central to this program is an in-depth, independent research project focused on a selected subject, guided by at least two specialized academic advisors. Additionally, students complete professional development modules or coursework designed to provide essential skills for making meaningful contributions in academic, corporate, governmental, or community settings. The culmination of your studies will be a research thesis or other approved academic work that advances existing knowledge in your chosen field.
