Botany focuses on examining plant life, their varied forms and anatomy, along with their biological processes. This field explores terrestrial, marine, and freshwater plants, analyzing everything from genetic and molecular levels to entire ecosystems. Within this specialization, you'll explore plant physiology, their water and nutrient absorption methods, and their photosynthetic conversion of solar energy into sugars. Additionally, you'll research environmental adaptations in plants, elements affecting species distribution and biodiversity, and the composition of plant communities.
