As technology continues to advance rapidly, the connection between engineering and information technology grows increasingly vital. IT serves as the foundation for engineering across all fields, and industries now seek graduates who possess expertise in both areas. Through this dual-degree program, you'll develop innovative problem-solving abilities to apply IT solutions in engineering contexts. Potential applications range from creating compelling engineering data visualizations to developing data-gathering applications or establishing IT systems for delivering engineering products online. To graduate, students must complete 420 hours of professional development, which can include 12 weeks of relevant work experience or a mix of approved professional activities and engineering employment spread throughout the program. Participants must also submit reflective reports documenting how their experiences contributed to developing Engineers Australia's Stage 1 competencies.
