The global market increasingly seeks designers with robust business acumen and a versatile skill set to address the complexities of today's interconnected world, champion inclusivity and ethics, and foster sustainable contributions. This dual-degree program equips you to apply design principles in business environments or support the business growth facets of design. You will build specialized expertise in Communication, Industrial, Spatial, or Collaborative Design, complemented by a broad grasp of business fundamentals and focused knowledge in a specific business domain. Select from 10 business majors, including management, marketing, or accounting. Upon completion, you will earn two distinct degrees. Based on your specialization, you will receive one of the following: Bachelor of Communication Design, Bachelor of Industrial Design, Bachelor of Spatial Design, or Bachelor of Collaborative Design, along with a Bachelor of Business. You will enjoy the full advantages of both degree programs and be thoroughly prepared for careers in either field individually or in an integrated capacity. In the design component, you will study in a studio environment under the guidance of Monash faculty, active designers, and leading researchers, gaining hands-on experience in using design as a practical problem-solving tool. For the business portion, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations, with 10 diverse majors allowing you to pursue your interests. No design portfolio or interview is required for admission; this course welcomes all who are inquisitive and driven to create an impact, providing the technical and strategic abilities needed to thrive as a designer.
