Monash University cultivates the designers our global community requires – imaginative, driven, and forward-thinking. A career in design offers boundless creative possibilities, allowing professionals to engage with diverse clients and projects. At Monash, our design education empowers you to create lasting, meaningful change. Students begin by enrolling in the Bachelor of Design program, selecting their specialization – Collaborative, Communication, Industrial, or Spatial – after completing the first semester. Our four specialized tracks develop advanced design skills, culminating in a degree focused on your chosen field. Each program holds accreditation from the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and emphasizes practical, industry-relevant experience, including internship opportunities. The Bachelor of Design features a unified curriculum where all students complete a shared first semester with foundational studio and drawing courses. The program also includes a design theory component and culminates in a professional practice unit during the final semester to equip graduates for their future careers.
