This program centers on transformative experiences, allowing you to shape your academic journey through four Professional Futures pathways: Global immersion, Intercultural expertise, Professional experience, or Innovation capability. Select from local and international internships, professional collaborations, and entrepreneurial ventures, with access to over 50 global immersion programs—including the Monash Arts Global Immersion Guarantee—to thrive in diverse cultural settings while connecting with a network of peers.
As the most prominent discipline within political science, international relations examines critical global issues such as conflict, security, and development. The curriculum explores both granular policy matters and broader systemic trends shaping world politics.
You'll develop expertise in contemporary global discourse, international disputes, and multilateral institutions. Core themes include governance, inequality, and human rights, alongside policy analysis in security studies, political economy, diplomacy, and global governance. Through critical analysis, you'll devise creative solutions to pressing worldwide challenges.
