Gender studies is a dynamic interdisciplinary field grounded in the understanding that all social structures and processes are shaped by gender. This area of study applies cutting-edge theories and research methods to explore how our bodies are categorized by sex, gender, and sexual orientation, connecting these concepts to contemporary global discussions about gender equity, sexual/reproductive rights, and diverse sexual identities. You'll explore critical analytical frameworks—including feminist and queer theories—that will enhance your problem-solving abilities and methodological expertise. Additionally, you'll gain practical professional skills in gender analysis and develop a commitment to gender equity and social justice that will serve you throughout your career.
