This dynamic dual degree serves as your gateway to an international career in creative and cultural arts. Situated alongside the prestigious Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA), you'll collaborate with Australia's leading artists, art theorists, and cultural experts. Our Bachelor of Arts offers 40 diverse major and minor options spanning languages, social sciences, communications, political studies, human rights, and international relations, allowing you to cultivate deep expertise in your chosen disciplines. The program culminates in two distinct degrees: either a Bachelor of Art History and Curating or a combined Bachelor of Fine Art and Bachelor of Arts. You'll acquire comprehensive skills for careers in either field or a blended professional path. Opting for Art History and Curating will deepen your knowledge of artistic traditions while providing practical experience in exhibition development and professional curatorial internships.
International studies explores the roots, mechanisms, and debates surrounding globalization in today's world. Our approach centers on everyday experiences rather than institutional perspectives. This major examines how communities worldwide adapt to, embrace, and resist globalizing forces across four critical areas: health crises, environmental sustainability, conflict resolution, and global commerce. Throughout the program, students progressively develop solutions to these challenges while gaining practical workplace competencies like collaborative research, analytical thinking, and professional communication. The curriculum incorporates real-world industry projects that prepare students for contemporary workplace demands.
