This dynamic dual degree program serves as your gateway to an international career in creative and cultural arts. Situated alongside the prestigious Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA), you'll collaborate with Australia's leading artists, art theorists, and cultural experts. Our Bachelor of Arts offers 40 diverse major and minor options spanning languages, social sciences, communications, political science, human rights, and international relations, allowing you to cultivate deep expertise in your chosen disciplines. This program culminates in two distinct degrees. Based on your specialization, you'll graduate with either: Bachelor of Art History and Curating, or Bachelor of Fine Art and Bachelor of Arts. You'll acquire comprehensive skills from both degree programs, preparing you for careers in either field individually or for combining both in your professional path. Opting for Art History and Curating will deepen your knowledge of artistic traditions and their cultural importance. You'll gain practical experience in exhibition development and enhance your curatorial abilities through internship opportunities in professional settings.
The human rights specialization pairs exceptionally well with studies in law, criminology, media, global affairs, political science, international relations, philosophy, historical studies, development programs, and environmental studies. As a human rights student, you'll develop critical analysis and communication capabilities, gaining specialized knowledge valued by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), various professional fields, and government agencies at both state and federal levels.
