This dynamic dual degree serves as your gateway to an international career in creative and cultural arts. Situated alongside the prestigious Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA), you'll collaborate with Australia's leading artists, art theorists, and cultural experts. Our Bachelor of Arts offers 40 major and minor study options across disciplines like languages, social sciences, communications, political science, human rights, and international relations, allowing you to cultivate deep expertise in your chosen fields. The program culminates in two distinct degrees: either a Bachelor of Art History and Curating or a combined Bachelor of Fine Art and Bachelor of Arts. You'll acquire comprehensive skills for careers in either discipline or a blended professional path. Opting for Art History and Curating will deepen your knowledge of artistic traditions while providing practical experience through exhibition development and professional internships.

The Chinese studies curriculum builds advanced Mandarin language proficiency, including translation capabilities. Catering to all skill levels from beginner to advanced, the program accommodates both heritage speakers and new learners of Chinese. You'll enhance all language competencies - speaking, reading, writing - while developing specialized research abilities. Placement testing (excluding complete beginners) ensures optimal class assignment before commencing studies. Students progress through structured language streams, with opportunities for intensive study abroad programs at each level.
