The 21st century faces three critical challenges: promoting decent work, eliminating poverty, and ensuring environmental sustainability. Shifting to eco-friendly societies demands an economy-wide transformation and widespread adoption of green skills among workers. Experts predict 100 million green jobs will be necessary by 2030, yet currently just 12.5% of workers possess relevant green skills. Consequently, professionals capable of implementing sustainable solutions across established and new industries will find global opportunities.
Distinct from other sustainability programs, the Master of Sustainable Development offers an interdisciplinary curriculum tailored to the growing green economy. By combining insights from business, law, sociology, geography, urban planning, health sciences, and environmental studies, this degree equips students with versatile skills applicable to all industries - particularly key sectors like energy, transportation, and finance that are crucial for achieving sustainability goals.
