The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is an academic degree without grades, granted for original research that advances knowledge in a specific discipline.
This research may offer novel insights by introducing fresh data or by critically analyzing existing information from unique perspectives.
To complete the program, candidates must submit a thesis of maximum 50,000 words, evaluated by a minimum of two external examiners. The curriculum might also incorporate certain coursework components and research seminar modules.
All faculties offer the MPhil program. Depending on the field of study, applicants might need to complete additional research training or preparatory coursework before beginning their candidacy.
