The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is an advanced research degree granted for original work that advances knowledge in a specific academic discipline.
This research may offer novel insights by introducing fresh data or by providing an autonomous critical perspective that reinterprets established knowledge.
Candidates must produce a thesis not exceeding 50,000 words, evaluated by a minimum of two external examiners. The program may incorporate coursework components and participation in research seminars.
All faculties offer the MPhil degree. Certain fields may necessitate additional research training or prerequisite coursework in research methodology before commencing the program.
