The complexity of terrorism continues to escalate. Evolving societal structures and technological advancements have heightened our exposure to terrorist threats while equipping extremists with unprecedented capabilities. To effectively safeguard against these dangers, both governmental agencies and private enterprises require skilled analysts capable of comprehending the intricate, ever-changing systems exploited by terrorist organizations. Consequently, counterterrorism experts are increasingly sought after across Australia's public and private sectors.
The hands-on Master of Counter Terrorism program equips students to tackle authentic counterterrorism scenarios. The curriculum covers both theoretical frameworks and practical applications in counterterrorism studies, examines growing domestic and global terrorism challenges and their impact on response strategies, and explores the development of Australia's counterterrorism policies and approaches.
