The complexity of terrorism continues to escalate. Societal and technological shifts have heightened our exposure to terrorist threats while granting extremists unprecedented capabilities. To effectively protect against these dangers, both government agencies and private enterprises require skilled analysts with the expertise, abilities, and innovative thinking to comprehend the evolving, intricate systems exploited by terrorist groups. Consequently, counterterrorism professionals are increasingly sought after by Australian authorities and commercial organizations alike.
The hands-on Master of Counter Terrorism program equips students to tackle genuine counterterrorism issues. The curriculum covers both theoretical foundations and practical applications in counterterrorism studies, examines growing domestic and global terrorism challenges along with their policy implications, and explores the development of Australia's counterterrorism frameworks and strategic responses.
