In our interconnected modern era, communities exhibit greater cultural and linguistic diversity than at any point in history. The capacity to articulate thoughts, engage in meaningful dialogue, and interpret countless daily messages—whether from our own culture or others—forms the cornerstone of contemporary life. As our world grows increasingly interconnected, teaching English to non-native speakers has become an exceptionally valuable skill. Moreover, the ability to instruct with awareness of both cultural nuances and language differences carries even greater significance.
This dual-focused Master's program in Applied Linguistics and TESOL equips students with insights into the intricate relationship between language usage and context, while establishing a robust theoretical and practical foundation for teaching English to speakers of other languages.
