As the world grows more interconnected, teaching English to non-native speakers has emerged as an especially valuable skill. Moreover, the capacity to teach with awareness of both cultural and linguistic nuances holds even greater worth.
The Master of Applied Linguistics and TESOL program offers a dual approach, equipping students with insights into how language use relates to context while providing comprehensive theoretical and practical training in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Hold a related merit-based Honours (AQF 8), Graduate Diploma (AQF 8) in TESOL or
AQF Level 7 bachelor’s qualification in a related field AND two years full-time (or part-time equivalent) relevant approved work experience in TESOL with a recognised educational institution. Meeting the work experience requirement does not guarantee admission at the 1 year entry point, and the selection committee will need to consider the detailed nature of the applicant's work experience in order to make a determination or
