Economic concerns permeate our daily existence. As consumers, workers, producers, investors, manufacturers, and caregivers, we're constantly influenced by economic forces. Every individual in society must develop the ability to make well-informed choices regarding the most effective use of our finite resources.
The Economics undergraduate program equips students with comprehensive knowledge of contemporary economic challenges and the tools to create economic frameworks that enhance well-being, equity, and long-term viability. The curriculum explores the functioning of modern economies, including trade dynamics and growth patterns; examines how pricing mechanisms and markets distribute limited resources; and investigates potential policy solutions when economic results fall short of desired outcomes.
