Qualification Requirements

To qualify for admission to the Honours program students must first complete all requirements of the Bachelor degree, obtain a minimum average of 60 per cent across all of their third-year subjects and obtain at least 70 per cent in subjects germane to their Honours discipline to the value of 60 credit points (biochemistry, physiology and anatomy, microbiology, genetics). Meeting this requirement, however, does not guarantee a place in the Honours year as resources may limit the total number of places available, and students are expected to find a supervisor prior to enrolment. You may be eligible to complete Honours in a major completed as part of your undergraduate degree. Your eligibility is subject to the availability and agreement of a suitable supervisor for the major and you meeting the entry requirements specific to that major. To enter our undergraduate programs, at a minimum you’ll need to have completed Australian Year 12 (or an accepted international equivalent) with a certain grade. You may also need to meet subject prerequisites. IELTS Overall 6.5, no band less than 6.0 TOEFL Internet based (iBT): Overall score of 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing
