Our specialized Honours coursework subjects will give you advanced knowledge of archaeological theory, research methodology, and practical application. You'll participate in a focused archaeological fieldwork component – gaining direct experience with the professional skills required for your career development and research thesis.
For your thesis project, you'll conduct independent research under the guidance of our expert faculty. Leverage our department's specialized knowledge in areas like Indigenous Australian archaeology, heritage conservation, archaeological sciences, landscape studies, or Near Eastern/Asian archaeology.

Qualification Requirements
Completion of a Bachelor degree in Archaeology, or an undergraduate degree with a major in Archaeology, with a weighted average mark in the final year of 70 or above.
You may be eligible to complete Honours in a major completed as part of your undergraduate degree. Your eligibility is subject to the availability and agreement of a suitable supervisor for the major and you meeting the entry requirements specific to that major.
