Graduates may also pursue careers in diagnostic pathology, medical microbiology, blood science, transfusion medicine, clinical chemistry, tissue pathology, immune system research, antibody testing, or lab administration.
Completion of an AQF level 7 bachelor degree in biomedical sciences or cognate degree or equivalent from this or any other university, at the discretion of the Dean, College of Public Health, Medical and Veterinary Sciences. Students wishing to complete the Graduate Diploma of Medical Science (Medical Laboratory Science) will be admitted on a case-by-case basis following discussions with the academic advisor for biomedical sciences to ascertain completion of subjects in their undergraduate degree which fulfil the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS) requirements for accreditation.
IELTS - 6.5 (no component lower than 6.0); TOEFL (internet based) - 86 (no component less than 21); Pearson (PTE Academic) - 58 (no component less than 54); C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency: 176 (no component less than 169).
