This program combines hands-on placement opportunities with academic coursework in psychological practice. You'll develop professional and ethical practice skills while learning effective communication and collaboration techniques. The curriculum focuses on assessing client requirements, creating evidence-based treatment plans, and measuring results. Designed to fulfill the fifth-year requirements of the 5+1 pathway, this degree leads to general psychologist registration. Students may qualify for provisional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, a key step in the 5+1 pathway, while preparing for their subsequent internship year. The program aligns with Psychology Board standards for the mandatory internship period needed for full registration. Qualification Requirements

Applicants must have completed a program in Psychology extending over four years and accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) or equivalent as determined by the Australian Psychological Society. The Grade Point Average (GPA) in the undergraduate degree, fourth year and relevant courses will be taken into account. A minimum of an Honours Second Class Division B (or equivalent) is required.
