This program offers comprehensive insights into policy, governance, and power dynamics across national and global contexts. You'll examine political systems, legislative processes, international diplomacy, and worldwide political affairs. The curriculum investigates democratic systems and their challenges, along with the tactics employed by authoritarian regimes to consolidate power, among other engaging subjects in Political Science and International Relations. During your advanced studies, you'll specialize by choosing one or two focus areas from International Relations, Political Science and Public Policy, or Security, Conflict and Human Rights. The program incorporates career-focused training, featuring professional development courses and practical opportunities such as internships, fieldwork, or parliamentary placements. Alumni from Griffith's political science and international relations programs have launched diverse careers spanning global diplomacy, policy research, international commerce, government positions at various levels, and roles with NGOs and international institutions.
