By gaining expertise in policy development and implementation alongside knowledge of criminal patterns, you'll be prepared to shape justice system policies that proactively prevent offenses rather than merely reacting to them. Alumni from Griffith's political science and international relations programs have launched diverse careers spanning global diplomacy, policy evaluation, international commerce, government positions at various levels, and roles with both Australian and international NGOs. Many prominent Queensland and federal politicians, including cabinet members, began their academic journey in Griffith's political programs. The Criminology and Criminal Justice pathway opens doors to numerous expanding professional prospects, preparing graduates for roles in: policing and security agencies, prison systems, intelligence operations, crime reduction initiatives, investigative services beyond traditional policing, juvenile justice systems, child welfare services, academic research, and policy creation.
