Qualification Requirements

To be eligible for admission to this Honours program, a student will be expected to meet the following requirements: have successfully completed the requirements of a Bachelor of Music or hold a three or four year degree in music from a recognised university which is equivalent to the Bachelor of Music at Griffith University; have achieved a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.2 (on a scale of 7.0) or equivalent from a recognised University (consideration will be given to students who achieve a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.2 in the final year of their program); for those applying for the written research pathway provide a Dissertation Research proposal (maximum 1200 words) which outlines a rationale, research question and methodology and which demonstrates a sound understanding of relevant literature. for those pursuing the artistic practice pathway, provide an artistic statement outlining the rational for applying for the BMus Honours, clearly outlining creative and professional aspirations (Max 500 words).
